About Me

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 and chose to have a mastectomy with aesthetic flat closure. I’m eternally grateful for the excellent medical care I received, AND for the loving support of family and friends. Fortunately, my recovery went well. This gave me another thing to be grateful for!

Wearing a shirt that has funny sayings on it helps me feel more confident when I choose to go bra-less. It also distracts folks who are trying to figure out if there are any boobs under my shirt. Any awkwardness melts away when they laugh at the shirt.

With or without a bra, wearing one of these shirts makes me feel like part of the sisterhood.

And we are a big sisterhood – one out of eight women get breast cancer. Imagine that. One out of eight of us is dealing personally with all the ‘stuff’ of cancer.  Each of us probably knows other women who’ve gone through this. So. Let’s normalize the situation, draw on our senses of humor and resilience, and get on with this miraculous gift of life.
